Principal’s Message

Great Expectations!

Great Support!

Great Accountability!

Your Parent Power Newsletter is named “Parent Power” because I know parents have the power to make a difference in their child’s school. This is truly exemplified by our BFE families and as your child’s Principal, I am truly thankful.

September brings many opportunities to get involved with our school. The month begins with an extended weekend including the 5th and 6th as we have Labor Day holiday the 5th and a Professional Development Day for our staff on the 6th.

Wednesday, September 7th is Open House. The Jefferson campus for grades PK – 5th will be from 4:00 until 6:00. The Nashville campus for grades 6 – 8th will be from 3:45 – 5:45. Wednesday the 14th is the first of our three Grandparents Days for PK – 1st. Thursday the 15th for grades 2 – 5th and Friday the 16th for grades 6 – 8th. Our Grandparents Luncheon is a very popular event, where our students get to eat lunch with their Grandparents! This year our PTO is partnering with us and volunteers are needed to help out. Contact the school to volunteer for any event.

Saturday, September 19th is our ninth Come Play with the Bears KaBOOM Community Play Day from 12:00 – 2:00.

Our playground will be open for fun and games directed by our staff and PTO volunteers. Our Student Council will be installed at 12:30!

Arrival and Dismissal

It is critically important that all families get on board with our arrival and dismissal times and procedures. We have Great Expectations that our attendance rate will be at 97% - 100% and we can only do that with your cooperation.
