Principal's Message
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year. We are filled with new possibilities as we open an extension campus at 401 Nashville Avenue. Our theme for this year is Communicate the Dream. Communication will be the key to both campuses being on the same page. We will have one monthly Parent Power Newsletter and then updates will be distributed from one or both sites as appropriate. Until notified, please use the main line 504-304-3932 for calling either site. Our staff has worked very hard to have a smooth opening of school. There is still much to be done and we will count on the support from our parents so your opportunities for parent involvement will begin from day one! From good beginnings come good endings. I challenged each family to be involved and support our school and activities this year. I want the very best for each student and for them to have the very best school year ever
Dionya Mills, our parent liaison, will be your link to volunteerism at both sites.
She will host monthly Parent Title I Workshops to keep you up to date on our curriculum initiates and parent
empowerment. Our PTO is another vital link for parents to keep in the know as well as fellowship with our Franklin family. Use your school calendar to plan ahead to be in attendance at school functions.
