Greater New Orleans
Science and Engineering Fair
The Greater New Orleans Science and Engineering Fair is hosted at the University of New Orleans every year and has schools from all over the region participating. For the last three years our school has performed very well and this year is no exception. Four of our students were eligible for the fair. Three students received first place awards in their category and one received a special award.
 
In the category of Engineering Mechanics, A. Rhodes won first place for his project
Within Arm’s Reach
In addition to the first place award, he also received the additional special awards:
1st Place Broadcom Masters
1st Place Gulf Coast Safety and Training
1st Place U.S. Navy/U.S. Marine Corp Office of Naval Research-
Scholarship to the Core Element Stem Summer Program
  
In the category of Animal Science, B. White won first place for his project
The Maze Runner
In addition to the first place award, he also received the additional special award:
1st Place Broadcom Masters
 
In the category of Chemistry, S. McKnight won first place for her project
Grape Stains No More
In addition to the first place award, she also received the additional special award:
1st Place Broadcom Masters
 
There was a special Social Media Award which was won by J. Mathers.
 
PTO NEWS
Our March PTO meeting will be on the 21st at 5:30 in the Cafeteria. This will also be a virtual meeting where parents can call in through our BFE Facebook page on Facebook Live. https://www.facebook.com/groups /2212298216/?fref=nf
